Energy Agency of Podravje has organized a workshop called Electromobility for the companies. On 21th of September 2015, workshop was held during European Mobility Week and in the frame of EU project "EMOBILITY WORKS ".
What are electric vehicles? Which kind of charging system we need for electric vehicles? How and when is the purchase and use of electric vehicles suitable and really cost-efficient? How to obtain subsidies from Eco Fund (Slovenian Environmental Public Fund) for purchase of electric vehicles? These are the questions that we try to answer at the workshop together with experts in the field of electromobility.
Electric mobility is becoming increasingly popular from environmental point of view, because it does not produce greenhouse gases. Electric vehicles (cars, bikes, scooters, ...) can be powered by electricity from renewable energy sources. The use of electric vehicles has several advantages such as lower transport costs, greater fuel savings, less noise, less environmental pollution due to harmful emissions, comfort, simplicity and fewer component parts of vehicles.
EU and the world give more and more importance to electric cars. Guidelines and EU legislation impose on countries to promote the use of electric vehicles and fostering renewable energy sources for electricity production. Electric vehicles could mean rationalizing of costs andalso in the same time green development for the companies. According to the Mr Tručl from the company Enerson d.o.o. there are in Slovenia currently more electric charging stations than electric cars. Only 153 electric vehicles were registered in Slovenia in 2014 and currently we have about 150electric charging stations. The list and details about the charging stations we can found in two internet portals named www.polni.si and www.elektro-crpalke.si. Mr Govedič from the Elektro Maribor d.d. company had presented advantages of electric vehicles in companies and charging system for e-vehicles. He pointed out that electromobility could contribute to balancing the production and consumption of green electricity in the future. Director of the Energy Agency of Podravje had highlighted when the purchase and use of electric vehicles is suitable and really cost-effective. She pointed out on example: if we drive 100 km with vehicle on diesel or petrol we spend around 9.8 € and produce 13 kg CO2 emissions in the air, but with electric vehicles we pay 1.4 € and produce 11 kg CO2 emissions, at the same distance (taking into account the ratio of resources for Slovenia and 0.55 kg CO2/kWh). The possibility of Action plan for electric mobility was offered to the companies, which could help them decide on the purchase of electric vehicles or to replace some vehicles with electric vehicles. The participants were also informed about the possibilities and procedure for obtaining Eco Fund subsidies for the purchase of electric vehicles.
The participants could also take a look at electric vehicles and next to the conclusion of a workshop move off by them on test drive. They had available two Volkswagen cars, a hybrid golf GTE and e-up!. Porsche Maribor representative was at same timeavailable for all questions related to the actual use of the electric cars.
